Triumph's Street Triple Racing Team at Daytona 200
Many consider Triumph’s Street Triple to be the standard for middleweight naked sportbikes. The top-tier RS variant takes this a step further, featuring race-ready equipment on a naked sportbike. It's no surprise that this bike has gained recognition in the racing world.
In 2024, the Triumph Factory-supported PHR Performance Team will be competing in the iconic Daytona 200 in the US. This annual road racing event takes place at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. The 82nd Daytona 200 is scheduled for March 7 to 9, 2024.
The PHR Performance Team, led by Peter Hickman and Richard Cooper, will race on Triumph Street Triple RS bikes prepared in the UK with official Triumph support.
Triumph’s Chief Product Officer, Steve Sargent, expressed his support for the team in a press release, stating, “Triumph is pleased to support Peter Hickman and Richard Cooper in their efforts to bring the Daytona 200 crown back to the UK with the PHR Performance Team. This iconic race holds a special place in the history of Triumph Racing."
Peter Hickman, a motorcycle racing veteran and team owner, will be racing the Street Triple RS in the Daytona 200. He has always wanted to compete in this race and is excited to finally have the opportunity. Hickman also plans to participate in the Isle of Man TT this year on the Street Triple RS, making the Daytona 200 a crucial testing ground for the team and the bike.
Richard Cooper, a Daytona 200 veteran, is thrilled to be racing for Triumph alongside Peter Hickman. “I am mega excited to be returning to the Daytona 200! This year, I’m returning with Triumph and the PHR Performance Team on the Street Triple 765 RS. I believe that with this team and this bike, we are capable of achieving top honors!” Cooper stated in Triumph’s press release.
