VMoto Launches New Electric Off-Road Bikes
Electric off-road bikes are becoming increasingly popular, allowing riders to enjoy their passion without the noise associated with traditional dirtbikes. VMoto, a well-known brand of electric two-wheelers, has introduced two new models that expand their range beyond urban settings.
The new bikes, named On-R and Off-R, are built on the same platform. While the On-R is suitable for road use, the Off-R is designed for off-road adventures. Both models feature long-travel suspension, wire-spoke wheels, and slim bodywork, making them versatile and capable of handling various terrains.
VMoto offers two versions of each model - L1 and L3. The L1 spec has a top speed of 28 mph (45 km/h), while the L3 spec raises the limit to 56 mph (96 km/h) for the On-R and 69 mph (110 km/h) for the Off-R. The Off-R also has a more off-road-ready design with a slacker 18-degree head angle and knobby tires.
Performance-wise, both bikes are equipped with a mid-drive electric motor that delivers 5.3 horsepower (4 kW) of nominal output and 11 horsepower (8 kW) at peak. The battery options include a 2.3 kWh or a 3.45 kWh unit, with charging times of 2.5 and 3.5 hours respectively. The range varies from 42 to 65 miles (68 to 104 km) depending on the battery.
The On-R and Off-R models are currently available in the Italian market for 6,990 Euros ($7,511 USD). Pricing and availability may differ in other regions, so it is recommended to contact a local VMoto dealer or visit their official website for more information.
