Abzo Motors Unveils VS01 Electric Cruiser Model

Electric motorcycles are gaining popularity worldwide, particularly in the Asian market, with India being a key player. Abzo Motors, a new electric motorcycle startup, recently introduced its first electric cruiser model, the VS01.

Established in 2019, Abzo Motors is a relatively new player in the electric motorcycle industry. However, the brand is determined to establish its own unique style by offering an electric cruiser-style motorcycle, which sets it apart from other manufacturers that primarily focus on electric scooters. The VS01 is clearly targeting the enthusiast market. Let's explore its technology and features.

Technology and Features

The Abzo VS01 electric cruiser is equipped with a powerful 72V 70Ah lithium-ion battery, providing an impressive full-charge range of 112.5 miles (180 kilometers). Recharging the battery takes approximately three hours and 20 minutes. The bike also features regenerative braking to maximize its range. Performance-wise, it boasts a rear hub motor delivering 8.4 horsepower and 133 pound-feet (190 Newton-meters) of torque. It offers multiple ride modes, including Eco, Normal, and Sport, allowing riders to customize their experience.

Safety and Design

The Abzo VS01 prioritizes safety with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels. It also incorporates a combined braking system (CBS) for added security. Additionally, the bike includes a reverse mode, making parking in tight spaces easier. The suspension consists of standard telescopic front forks and rear shock absorbers.

The Abzo VS01 is manufactured in a spacious 17,069-square-meter production facility located in Rangpurda, just outside Ahmedabad. The base model is priced at Rs 180,000 (approximately $2,170 USD).
